But, last night I got to thinking, even though there hasn't been anything big, exciting, or creative happening lately, I could share with you the little, less exciting things that have been happening. You know, some of the everyday things that can't make up and entire blog post by themselves, but are still worth sharing.
Firstly, I got a new laptop, and then it broke, and now I don't have a new laptop. Well actually, it never really worked to begin with. After I did all the initial set up stuff, I went to open the internet browser and almost immediately the computer freaked out and said I had Malware, and viruses. After resetting the computer twice, it only barely worked. Then the other night it froze and then refused to turn back on. So, we took it back, and now I don't have a new computer. I guess that's really not exciting, but when I get a lap tops that works, that will be exciting!
Secondly, I cut my hair! I have thinking about cutting my hair into a pixie for several months now, and I finally took the plunge about two weeks ago.
It's a big change for me. I don't know if I can say that I LOVE it, but I do I like it. I feel like you always hear stories of women who cut their hair short and just absolutely fall in love with it. I think I was expecting to feel like that. Everyone has told me that they really like it, but I feel like you have to say that to someone who just cut their hair, even if you don't really like it. Don't get me wrong, for the most part I really like it, I think I just need a little more time to get used to it.
Thirdly, we finally did something in the dining room. And by 'did something' I mean we hung two pictures on the wall on two already existing nails. But hey, that's better than nothing, right?
Not nearly as exciting as I was talking about in this post, but it's so much better than looking at the blank boring walls. I still want to paint, but I'm waiting for the Sherman Williams store to have a sale so I can get the paint for a better price.
Finally, Ryan and I bought this funny children's book illustration at an antique sale on Valentines Day. It is captioned "The Ass and the Dog take pity on the Cat."
So those are all of the little thinks that I have been happening here. I'm hoping the weather at least starts to warm up soon. But, I am staring to feel a little more creative, just yesterday I started on another sewing project, but I'll share more about that in a later post.
