It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday spent with family and loved ones and eating lots of yummy food!  We were able to see both Ryan and my family, which was wonderful.

We had Thanksgiving day dinner with my family, and went shopping on Friday.  We shop later in the day on Friday to avoid all the crazies.  On Saturday we went with Ryan's family to pick out their Christmas tree!  It was so great since, I had been telling Ryan how excited I was to start decorating for Christmas for quite awhile.  We went to a local tree farm and cut down the tree ourselves.

Look at my husband being so manly!  It was a beautiful day, and really fun to hangout with all of Ryan's brothers, and parents.

On out way back home from visiting family, we stopped to pick up our Christmas tree as well.  Growing up, we always cut down our tree, but since we now live in the city, we decided to go to one of the local tree lots.  It was actually pretty fun, and the guys helping at the lot were really nice and tied the tree to our car for us.

Here it is all set up in the living room! We only had to rearrange a little.  We scooched the couch over a little bit and moved the tall standing lamp downstairs for now.  The tree makes the room feel so cozy and the lights on the tree are looks so warm and friendly.

We did have a slight mishap when getting out the ornaments.  The box full of the sparkly ornaments broke open all over the couch, and floor, and my pants.  Needless to say, there were sparkle EVERYWHERE! Sparkles are evil, yet so pretty.

I am in the process of making a tree skirt for the tree, I'll post more when I am finished.  I am hoping to get it finished sometime this week.

I also redecorated the table by the front door for Christmas.  Confession: I actually redecorated the table like 2 weeks ago because I was so excited to decorate for Christmas.  It's fine, really.

So, we are pretty much set all decorated for Christmas!  I love how the decorations make the house feel so cozy.

Have you set up your Christmas decorations yet?
